Will Smith Faces Lawsuit Over Sexual Harassment Allegations

Will Smith has been accused of sexual harassment by Brian King Joseph in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles just before the new year, as stated in documents obtained by various outlets.

Joseph, a professional violinist, claims in his complaint against the acclaimed actor and associates at Trayball Studio Management that Smith “deliberately groomed and primed Mr. Joseph for further sexual exploitation.” Their interactions reportedly began in December 2024 during a performance, after which Smith hired Joseph for his upcoming tour titled “Based on a True Story: 2025.”

In the lawsuit, Joseph alleges that their “relationship became even closer” when Smith invited him to play on several songs for Joseph’s next album. The documents highlight how Smith made statements to Joseph indicating a special bond, like suggesting they had a unique relationship.

During the first leg of the tour in Las Vegas in March 2025, Joseph claims he was offered a hotel room arranged by Smith’s team, stating that access was limited to crew and hotel staff only. Upon returning to his room later, he discovered evidence suggesting someone had unlawfully entered. This included a note addressed to him and various items that did not belong to him.

Fearing further intrusion, Joseph alerted hotel security and sought a room change, detailing the situation in hopes of gaining protection. However, he claims that in the days following the incident, Smith’s team began shifting blame back to him, which he found humiliating. Allegedly, when he sought further clarification, Smith’s attorney accused him of fabricating the scenario.

Joseph described a “shocking series of events” in his account and reported that after his allegations, Smith’s team swiftly replaced him with another violinist for the tour. This, according to Joseph, suggested that the reasons given for his termination were insincere.

He asserted that the entire situation displayed a pattern of predatory behavior on Smith’s part, as events lined up in a suspicious way. Joseph expressed that he has faced severe emotional distress, financial loss, and reputational damage due to these actions. Furthermore, he mentioned dealing with PTSD as a result of his experience.

As of now, a representative for Smith has not publicly responded to these allegations.

This lawsuit emerges alongside another significant legal battle involving Jada Pinkett Smith, who is being sued for $3 million over alleged violent threats made against a former colleague.
