Virginia Football Coach’s Wife Denies Disturbing Allegations

The wife of missing football coach Travis Turner from Virginia has rejected claims that he was involved in child pornography and had attempted to engage in sexual acts with minors.

“I really don’t know anything. I’m just… I’m sorry,” Leslie Turner, 46, told the Daily Mail on Tuesday after authorities revealed shocking charges against her husband.

Travis Turner, 46, was reportedly under investigation for soliciting a minor online and facing five counts of possessing child pornography. However, Leslie insisted that these accusations were untrue, maintaining that her husband was a dedicated family man.

“None of that is true. He’s a wonderful father and a great husband,” she asserted.

Police visited Turner’s home at Appalachian State on Thursday in connection with the investigation but were informed he was missing.

Since then, he has not been located, prompting a search for his whereabouts.

Leslie mentioned that the family is heartbroken and is doing everything they can to support him during this troubling time.

“We just want him home, that’s all,” she expressed. “We’re just going to sit tight until we hear something.”

She also addressed rumors circulating about sightings of her with a rifle since his disappearance, explaining to the Mail that she had been “told not to comment.”

Travis Turner was the head coach at Union High School in Big Stone Gap, a position he held with distinction. Recently, the school staff were placed on leave and suspended from the school premises, although both the school and Leslie have not confirmed if he was among them.

Turner was well-regarded in the community and had led the team to an undefeated record prior to his sudden disappearance.
