VP Harris Office Hit by 92% Staff Turnover Since Assuming Power

Vice President Kamala Harris’ office has experienced a turnover rate of more than 90% over the past three years, a watchdog report released Monday detailed, a continuation of a staff turnover trend that has been ongoing since before the Biden administration formally assumed power.

Open the Books, a watchdog group that reports on government spending, found About 91.5 percent of her staff has left since she was sworn in.

The report presented straightforward facts about the numbers of people leaving the country.

Harris was elected in November 2020 and took the oath of office in January 2021.

As of March 31, 2024, of the 47 first-year staff members, only four are continuously and uninterruptedly employed by the Vice President.

And turnover turmoil hasn’t improved: 24 staff have left the company in the past 12 months, nearly half the workforce.

The poll results came a day after the vice president kicked off his White House campaign pledging to unite Democrats.

This is not the first time that Harris’ team’s dysfunction has been pointed out.

“In her first year and a half in office, VP Harris has seen the departures of her chief of staff, communications director, domestic policy adviser, national security adviser and other top aides,” the magazine wrote at the time, highlighting the issues that appeared to plague her tenure as vice president.

Last year alone (April 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024), 24 people left Harris.

As Breitbart News reported in 2021, her staff reported that they had endured constant betrayal, confusion and frustration since she took office.

A lack of organisation in the office has reportedly left staff angry about being “treated badly” in an “abusive” work environment.
