On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris predicted that she and President Joe Biden will win the November election.
Host Mika Brzezinski said, “So let’s talk about the contrast. President Biden and you both warn that this election puts democracy at risk. If Trump is elected to a second term, women’s rights will continue to be destroyed and international alliances will be weakened. That would be wrong, to say the least. Your work to rebuild the middle class will be destroyed and minority rights will be rolled back. If the contrast is so stark, what on earth is going on? Why are the polls so close? Why is the election so close?”
“These elections are always close. This is a United States presidential election and everyone who runs for president of the United States will critically consider all the issues and make a decision, but ultimately we will win. We will win,” Harris said.
Brzezinski asked, “Are you confident?”
“It won’t be easy, but we will win. You just look at what happened in the midterm elections, for example. A lot of people talked about a red wave. I would call it a red drip,” Harris said.
