Former President Donald Trump responded to an attack he received from actor Robert De Niro during a Biden-Harris campaign press conference on Tuesday, calling De Niro “pathetic and sad.”
Trump posted on Truth Social:
I never realized how insignificant, mentally and physically, former actor Robert De Niro was. Today, suffering from an incurable disease called Trump Derangement Syndrome (known in medical circles as TDS), De Niro found himself outside the courthouse, facing a force far more powerful than the radical left: MAGA.
“Robert looked so pathetic and sad, his films, artistry and brand have declined significantly since he entered politics at the behest of the unscrupulous Joe Biden. Where is Joe DiMaggio!!!” Trump added.
De Niro made a surprise appearance at a last-minute Biden-Harris news conference outside the courthouse where Trump is on trial on charges of falsifying business records brought by Manhattan Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
At the press conference, De Niro made the outlandish claim that if Trump is re-elected he will “never” leave office, would try to become a “dictator for life” and could “destroy the world”.
Two police officers who were at the Capitol on January 6th also appeared at the press conference, one of whom ran unsuccessfully for Congress as a Democratic candidate.
The press conference turned out to be a bit embarrassing for De Niro, who was met with yells of “no more” from Trump supporters, leading De Niro to lose his temper and yell at them on camera.
