Wake Forest Pays Ole Miss $1 Million To Cancel Their 2025 Game Just Hours After Getting Their A** Kicked By Rebels

And these people think they are the devil?! (LOL)

The No. 5 ranked Ole Miss Rebels soundly defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. 40-6When the two teams met on Saturday, Wake Forest University comically canceled its 2025 game against the Rebels.

The two schools were scheduled to play a home-and-away series, with the next matchup scheduled for Sept. 13, 2025. But next year's game will no longer be played, and Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin told reporters that Wake Forest has opted to “buy” the 2025 game. The Action Network's Brett McMurphy reports that the Demon Deacons will have to pay cancellation fees totaling $1 million.

The move would be embarrassing for Wake Forest and also a disservice to Ole Miss, because the 2025 game would fulfill SEC rules against a team from a strong conference that Ole Miss must play at least once a season.

As someone who grew up in Virginia, is based in North Carolina, and has family in Winston-Salem (my family actually went to Wake Forest University), this is extremely disappointing. I mean, how can you handle a big loss with such a weak attitude?

Terrible, really terrible!
