MSNBC host Nicole Wallace said former President Trump may not appear on the show if he wins this fall’s election.
Wallace said, noting that the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner was held over the weekend, saying, “But beneath that joviality there was something darker. It was a dark undercurrent, a point the president had to make, and it was much more serious.”
“Because at this very time next year, depending on what happens seven months from now in November, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and even the free press, and even the White House Press Organization… Because we cannot say for sure whether the “Legion” will be held,” she added.
Wallace went on to add, “I might not be sitting here this time next year.”
The comment came after she aired footage of President Biden toasting the press during the annual dinner. She said she had seen the toast “many times” but it felt different in 2024.
