Walmart Continues to Offer Products Promoting LGBT Themes for Kids, Report Shows

Walmart Continues Selling LGBTQ+ Items for Kids Despite Previous Announcements

Despite declaring changes last November, Walmart is still stocking products promoting the LGBTQ+ agenda aimed at children. A report titled “Pride Watch: Large-scale Retail Secretly Targets Children of LGBTQ+ Products” from America’s Future Buildings suggests that retailers are still focusing on younger audiences, even if it’s not as glaring as during the height of the Biden administration.

According to the report, “America’s largest retailers still market and promote sexual LGBTQ products directly to children.” It seems these companies are attempting to persuade the public that they’re distancing themselves from a transgender agenda, but Walmart remains a notable example of continued efforts in this area.

There are a variety of pride-themed items available for kids. For instance, a children’s travel hoodie, a My Little Pony pride shirt, and rainbow-striped tube socks for babies can be found. Additionally, Walmart offers a Barbie shirt featuring the colors of the Progress Pride Flag, which symbolizes inclusivity for minority and transgender individuals.

Interestingly, while the retailer seems to have reduced its offerings compared to last year, what’s left is still concerning.

In its most striking assertions, the report claims Walmart continues to sell products that could be seen as sexualizing children under the guise of gender identity. This is in contrast to public statements suggesting that third-party sellers would avoid selling LGBTQ items suited for children.

One product described, branded as “cross-dress lingerie panties,” suggests themes of seduction, which certainly raises eyebrows. Another product found was a snakeskin strap thong labeled as “Jockstrap Gay Bringable Briefs,” alongside thongs marketed for enhancing bulge. Additionally, chest binders are available, with descriptions promoting them for non-binary or transgender individuals to achieve a flattened look.

The report indicates children’s books related to pride themes are still predominantly available. Retailers like Walgreens, Target, and Walmart are selling a range of these books, including titles like “ABC Pride” and “Pride Puppy!”

Interestingly, Walmart’s pride-themed apparel for children has drastically decreased, as it currently lists just a couple of items. In contrast, brands like MAC Cosmetics have launched campaigns featuring transgender artists, while Sesame Street has also embraced the LGBTQ pride theme.

On the flip side, the Trump administration appears to be moving away from celebrating Pride Month, aligning more closely with what seems to be the public’s preferences.

These developments follow Walmart’s earlier announcement about stepping back from certain policies related to sexual and transgender products for kids, as noted by various sources.
