Walmart, Target discuss ‘path forward’ with Trump amid tariffs

Walmart and Target CEOs met with President Donald Trump on Monday to discuss the continued trade negotiations with other countries and the impact of tariffs imposed on imported products.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon spoke to the president about tariffs and the impact on the retail industry during a meeting at the White House. McMillon previously discussed various topics with Trump in January before he took office, including investment in the US, trade relations and innovation.

A Walmart spokesman said that the meetings between Trump and his team were “productive” and that the company appreciated the opportunity to share that insight.
