Walton Goggins brushed aside gossip regarding potential tensions with his “White Lotus” co-star, Amy Lou Wood, while hosting Saturday Night Live.
During his time on the sketch comedy show, Goggins didn’t bring up Wood at all.
He did mention the popular HBO series in which they both star.
“Most of you might recognize me from ‘White Lotus.’ I won’t spoil anything, but I’m going to die,” he joked.
Goggins then discussed how, apparently, audiences found his “brooding” role “appealing.”
“Some friends asked me, ‘How’s it feel to be a sex symbol at 53?’ Honestly, it’s nice,” he admitted.
But then he added, “That is, until I look myself up and see some of the headlines,” referencing an article that commented on his “swollen” eyes and “receding hairline.”
Speculation about a rift between Goggins, 53, and Wood, 31, began in April when fans noticed they weren’t following each other on Instagram.
Some observers believed the duo, who portrayed romantic interests on the show, had even blocked one another.
Co-star Jason Isaac dispelled some of the rumors, mentioning a disagreement on the Thai set without going into detail. “We were all a bit stressed together,” he noted during a SiriusXM appearance.
He added, “It’s summer! There’s friendship, romance, and sometimes disagreements, you know?”
Earlier this month, Goggins reacted strongly when asked about the rumored feud in an interview, expressing frustration at the question.
Meanwhile, Wood countered the rumors at the 2025 Met Gala. Despite avoiding Goggins on the red carpet, she stated, “I love working with him,” calling it the best experience of her career.
She also expressed excitement over Goggins’ upcoming SNL appearance, saying, “He’s going to nail it. It will be hilarious. I can’t wait to see it.”
Wood’s encouraging remarks followed a previous instance where she joked about Goggins during a skit, which he appeared to appreciate.
