Walz Is ‘Not Afraid To Mix It Up’ on Our Shows

Fox News host Bret Baier said on “America’s Newsroom” Tuesday that Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.), Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, appeared on Fox and “isn’t afraid to stir up controversy.”

“This guy hunts, this guy ice fishes, you know, he’s one of those guys. He talks about rural America and how Donald Trump doesn’t get it. Meanwhile, Donald Trump and former president and J.D. Vance are talking to those people directly and trying to win them over, just like they built that coalition. Trump did that in 2016,” Baier said.

Moderator Gillian Turner asked, “Harris is credited with coining the word ‘weird’ to describe the Republican candidate, and the word has clearly caught on among the Harris campaign. Is this a case of the campaign picking the most visible thing in the room?”

Beyer responded: “People love the way he speaks. They love the way he handles media interviews. He’s on our show. He’s not afraid to go places, like J.D. Vance. He’s not afraid to mix things up. He speaks in plain language. He’s a former football coach, a former teacher. He has charm and he’s influential.”
