Walz Set to Reveal MN 'Fraud Prevention' Initiative Amid Growing Criticism

Minnesota Governor Faces Fraud Scandal

Governor Tim Walz, a Democrat, is dealing with a significant fraud scandal that has drawn severe criticism from various government officials.

Reports indicate that he plans to announce the head of the state’s fraud prevention program this Friday. This person will be referred to as the “Director of Program Integrity,” according to Fox 9.

The U.S. Department of Justice has estimated that fraud involving Minnesota services amounts to approximately $822 million. This figure includes around $300 million linked to Feeding Our Future, nearly $220 million attributed to fraud in autism programs, and $302 million from housing stabilization initiatives.

On December 1, Breitbart News revealed that over 400 employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) have accused Walz of being accountable for the fraud, suggesting that he was warned early on during the investigation.

An anonymous employee from the Minnesota Department of Human Resources stated:

Tim Walz is entirely responsible for the extensive fraud in Minnesota. We notified him early on in a bid to help remedy the situation, but instead, we faced retaliation. He systematically targeted whistleblowers through intimidation, surveillance, and efforts to undermine reports of fraud.

This scandal, which involves Minnesota’s Somali community, could potentially tarnish Walz’s political career, according to officials.

Walz announced his re-election campaign in September.

Recently, Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), cautioned left-leaning governors that they risk losing Medicaid funding if they fail to address allegations of fraud. He noted, “If we are not satisfied with a state’s plan or cooperation, we will cease federal contributions to these programs.” Oz’s message to Walz was clear: resolve the issues in 60 days or face serious consequences.

Additionally, reports have surfaced from Breitbart News claiming that Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is investigating allegations that state taxpayer funds may have been misappropriated to the terrorist organization al-Shabab.

Al-Shabab is recognized as a terrorist organization operating in Somalia and is associated with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
