Progressives have set their sights on talk radio, which could dismantle the radio world and completely destroy free speech.
Soros Fund Management, run by George Soros and his billionaire son, is trying to take control of Audacity, the second-largest broadcaster in the United States.
Last year, Soros acquired about 50 radio stations, all of which were Spanish-speaking.
Audacity currently owns 220 stations and Glenn Beck believes this is a “major concern” as 80% of people still listen to radio.
Additionally, a Singapore-based investor is looking to acquire Cumulus Media, the third largest broadcaster.
“How does this benefit America? You have George Soros, you have a Singaporean company, and you have iHeart by yourself,” Glenn says.
But things get even worse.
The FCC is now mandating all broadcast stations to begin posting racial and gender scorecards that analyze the demographics of their employees.
“We have to start hiring based on gender and everything else,” Glenn said, adding, “We don’t care if you’re male or female or what you know. We don’t care who you’re sleeping with. I don’t care what color you are. I really don’t. I want to know what’s going on in your head.”
In the wake of these new rules, Glenn believes now is a more important time than ever to take a stand, especially for small local radio stations.
“I want people to support local radio stations,” he says. “Local radio is very important. We have to have local radio stations that are not under Borg control.”
