Warren presses X on deleted Trump nominee’s posts

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) I'm pushing it against Social Platform X appears to be rubbing many posts from his account about one of Trump's economic candidates.

In a letter to X CEO Linda Yaccarino, Warren asked the company to collect more than 24,000 posts from William Pulte. He was tapped by Trump later last month, serving as director of the Federal Housing Financial Institutions (FHFA) and faced a confirmation hearing Thursday before the Senate Bank, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

Warren, a ranking member of the committee, said she and the others had “made amazing discoveries.”

“Given the importance of this position, the committee has begun reviewing Pulte's tweets to assess his policy position, disposition, and the fitness he serves,” the Massachusetts Democrat wrote in a statement.

The senator argued that her request to see Pulte's deleted posts might provide insight into his policy position and his fitness, which oversees a company that has $8.1 trillion in mortgage funding.

“We require that the committee provide all of Pulte's social media platforms since we created the account in 2009 to enable it to perform its duties,” writes Warren. “There is a bipartisan precedent for requesting such information.”

Warren requested that X's post be handed over by March 3rd.

Pulte has over 3 million followers on X and gives her own name Online philanthropistsoften when the president gives money to Trump supporters or reposts someone else's comments.
