Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is one of the most recognizable faces in the NBA.
Although Curry continues to perform at a high level on the basketball court, he is also 36 years old and will complete his 16th season in the league next spring. Curry, a four-time NBA champion, admits he is much closer to the end of his career than the beginning, but said he is able to enjoy the moment.
“Probably more than ever,” he said during an interview. Talk to ESPN He talked about his future in the NBA. “I think it's okay to accept and acknowledge that the end is near at any point, just so you can enjoy what's going on. I think the more we talk about it, the more we acknowledge it,” the urgency of the moment only heightens. ”

Curry didn't give specific numbers on how many seasons he has left, but he did make it clear that his desire to win remains strong.

“I understand, with me and [Warriors teammate] draymond [Green] This is our heyday. You know, we're in a situation where we have to think about games a little bit differently. But if you're not winning, the answer is, “How can I make this happen?” I only have a few years left, so I want to win desperately. And what helps me helps us too. Well, this is an interesting word. Because people are saying. “What's the actual answer? We're trying to figure it out,” he said.

Curry played a key role in helping the Warriors win three NBA titles in the last four seasons. Golden State won its fourth NBA Finals with Curry in 2022. He also won the league MVP trophy twice and was selected as an NBA All-Star 10 times.

The Warriors' 2024-25 season is off to a strong start with the team posting a 12-3 record. However, Golden State enters their matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers on Christmas Day with a record of 15 wins and 13 losses, and currently sits in eighth place in the Western Conference.

Last season, the Warriors lost in the NBA Play-In Tournament and missed out on the playoffs. Curry and his teammates are looking to avoid a repeat of that this season, and the February trade deadline could be critical to their 2024-25 hopes.
The Christmas Day game between the Warriors and Lakers is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. ET.
