Four-time Oscars host Jimmy Kimmel introduced the parody by acknowledging that last night was “the 50th anniversary of what was once the craziest moment in Oscar history.”
“At the 46th Academy Awards in 1974, a naked man streaker crossed the stage while David Niven was introducing Elizabeth Taylor,” he told the audience. “Could you imagine if a naked man ran across the stage today?”
Kimmel then repeated, “I said, ‘Could you imagine if a naked man ran across the stage today?’ Isn’t that crazy?”
Cena was standing in line, clearly shirtless. He looked shyly into her face to beckon Kimmel.

Cena confessed that he had “changed his mind” and no longer wanted to participate in the “streaker bit.” But Kimmel wasn’t having it. Cena eventually made his way onto the stage and tightly grabbed the envelope that eventually appeared. poor thing Costume designer Holly Waddington was the winner.
“Costume… it’s very important,” he quipped. “That’s probably the most important thing: I can’t open the envelope.”
After the nominees were read out, Kimmel was shown styling Cena behind the curtain.
“You look so beautiful,” he said to Cena as he left the stage.
