A 12-year-old boy in Washington state has been arrested on suspicion of stealing his grandfather's car and driving it approximately 260 miles across the state.
Issaquah police notified the Grant County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday that a boy appeared to have stolen his grandfather's car and was headed to Grand County, the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook.
The boy has some ties to the city of Moses Lake in Grant County, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's Motor Traffic Unit began searching for the vehicle and found it parked on the curb in the 900 block of Lowry Street in the Larson community of Moses Lake around 10:20 a.m.
The boy then fled in the vehicle, leading officers on a brief pursuit that ended when officers performed a PIT maneuver near Randolph Road and Route 17.

A 12-year-old boy was taken into custody and booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and felony fleeing.

There were no injuries and there was minimal damage to the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.
