Rael Entine, vice president of content for the NFL's Washington Commanders, has been suspended after an undercover video was released in which he slammed “stupid” and “homophobic” players, condemned “alcoholic fans” and criticized the lies the NFL tells.
Entine's harsh comments were secretly recorded by an undercover reporter working with activist journalist James O'Keefe. videoIt emerged that Entine had made a series of shocking confessions and allegations. Daily Mail Reported.
The team later suspended him for his comments, saying in a statement, “The language used in the video is counter to the values of the Commanders organization. We have suspended the employee until our internal investigation is complete and will not be making any further comment at this time.” Front Office Sports.
The “word” is highly reprehensible in many ways.
A member of the team management, who has been with the team since 2020, criticized some of the team's black players, saying, [of the roster] They are very low-income African-Americans from communities that are inherently homophobic.”
“I love hip hop,” Entine said, before adding, “Hip hop is very homophobic. It's a cultural thing and I want it to get better.”
That wasn't the only thing he said about NFL players, he also called some of them “super stupid.”
“Of course, there are all kinds of types. There are incredibly stupid kids and there are incredibly smart kids,” he says. “I think the sad reality is that some kids start out smart, but then get such a bad head injury that they never get to be smart again.”
In another part of the recording, Entine attacks his fans, calling many of them “mouth breathers.”
“I think most NFL fans are high school graduates and alcoholics,” he argued in one segment, before blasting fans who start fights in the stands in another.
He also didn't spare the league itself.
He called the NFL's social justice efforts “performative” and merely publicity-driven, said the league's only real goal was “to make as much money as possible,” and argued that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was just an empty title and symbol, and that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is the person who actually runs the NFL.
Entine also said he believes Jones is a racist: “I think he hates gays and he hates black people,” he said in the video.
In another part of the recording, Entine claimed the NFL forced him to lie about an incident in 2021 when sewage was sprayed on fans in the stands during a Commanders game. He claimed the team was forced to say it was just water, even though they knew full well it wasn't. He called this the act of “national media.”
