Washington Post columnist won’t question Bezos out of fear of getting fired

Washington Post columnist Josh Roggin claimed he could pay to criticize Jief Bezos, owner of DC News Outlet.

Login recently accused “real-time” host Bill Maher of meeting him the previous week and playing in the hands of President Trump. “I think you fell into a trap. When I say this, I think I represent 99% of the internet. You played a game of melee,” Roggin said. “I’m not questioning your motivation, I’m questioning Trump’s questions, right?”

On Monday’s episode of “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” the host of the same name burned Rogin to criticise Maher, but was told Bezos was silent about expanding the olive branches to Trump.

“You work for the Washington Post, and your owner, Jeff Bezos, has done so much more than Bill Maher beyond his division with Trump.

Washington Post columnist Josh Roggin told Piers Morgan that he was afraid to criticize Jeff Bezos, owner of DC News Outlet. (Piers Morgan Uncensored)

The host recalled many ways Bezos warmed up to Trump and dined with him at his Marlago estate in December. I pledge a million dollars to his inauguration fund. He then began to ask, “As a senior journalist at the Washington Post, what do you think about it?”

“I denied trying to criticize Maher, saying that if it had been out of that way, he might not have produced my critique entirely,” Rogin said.

The business leader who met Trump then claimed it was a completely different set of calculations. Regarding his own experience at the Post, he said he didn’t know what was going on at the management level, and he also met Bezos in person. Login argued that the response “is not a duck, just lacking insight into what’s going on over me in the Washington Post.”

Morgan used a bit of wordplay in responding to Login’s denial that he was about to “duck” the question.

“Josh, look, if you look like a duck, if it sounds like a duck, then it’s probably a duck,” Morgan said. “So if you’re looking at Bill Maher and you’re refusing to be remotely critical of what you did with Trump in terms of kissing the ring, you know that you might think there’s a double standard out there.”

“I see what you’re trying to do, the pier, but I’m not in a position to comment on Jeff Bezos because if I comment on Jeff Bezos, I could be fired from work and you know that, so I’m not going to do that,” Roggin replied. “But at the same time, it doesn’t seem to dodge your question because I want to be honest with you.”

“And my honest answer from my heart is that everyone involved in this administration, including all the people on this panel, including you, must make that judgment based on the calculation of your own values and their own interests.

Login claimed he was consistent in this stance, as it was essentially the same as when he said, “Engagement is a good thing, the way you do it is important, and your expectations of Trump’s reaction should be very limited.”
