Canada tends to be at the forefront when it comes to woke nonsense. Apparently, the government considers asking a question a type of assault, even if the person asking the question is a reporter.
Last week, Rebel News reporter David Menzies was arrested by RCMP officers after he attempted to question Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland about why Canada removed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from its terrorist list.
“She could have ignored them, but instead a bunch of her bodyguards jumped him and charged him with assault,” Rebel News founder Ezra Levant told Alex Stein .
In the video footage, Menzies can be clearly seen approaching Freeland with a microphone. But he never touches her or even blocks her path. Mr Menzies managed to ask two questions, neither of which he could answer, before a group of police forcefully grabbed him and pushed him against a wall, claiming he was being arrested on suspicion of assault.
“Why am I being arrested? You bumped into myself'' Menzies told one of the officers as his wrists were handcuffed.
“You pushed me, sir,” the officer replied. This is a classic example of gaslighting.
“He never touched her!” Alex said incredulously. “Is assault a crime?”
“Ultimately, they dropped the charges,” Levant says. However, “the strangest thing is that [the cops] He drove away, but police did not take him to the police station. They just leave him in the school parking lot and tell him to find his own way home. ”
“I was a super pro police supporter,” he said, but “what I saw…they were testing my pro cop ideology,” he sighs.
It's clear that many people share Levant's sentiments, as the video has now racked up millions of views. Check it out for yourself below.
