Watch CBS explaining planet getting warmer makes it colder

The media has long touted global warming, the idea that the Earth is gradually getting hotter, causing a myriad of problems.

But as soon as temperatures plummet, as it inevitably will, people begin to question the legitimacy of global warming.

The Earth is supposed to be hotter, so why are temperatures suddenly below freezing?

That's a very fair question.

Pat Gray plays a clip of CBS News' Ben Tracy attempting to answer this question by linking “climate change” to “Arctic cold.”

“For the past week or so, it's been very cold in most parts of the country. You've probably heard people say, 'Global warming is just that.' When we talk about climate change, we We're talking about how the Earth has been warming for decades. do not have What happens in just one winter or a few weeks? ”

“Keep in mind, the same is not true when it's 106 degrees in the summer. This is unprecedented. It's unrealistic. It's unsustainable…but in the winter… “That's completely explainable,” Pat interjected sarcastically.

“We also know that in a warming Earth, the atmosphere can hold more moisture, which means more extreme precipitation events, including snowfall, can occur, with large amounts of snow falling across the country in the past few weeks. ” Tracy continued.

“Wait, wait, wait,” says Keith Marinak. “The Northeast just hasn't had any measurable snowfall in years…so it's been warming up here in two weeks?”

“Back in the 2000s, we were told it would never snow again. There was a time when we had to explain to kids what snow was,” Pat added with disgust.

But Tracy wasn't done yet.

“We know that the Arctic is warming faster than anywhere else on Earth, which is causing a variety of extreme weather events. Climate change is actually destabilizing that polar vortex. , there's some evidence that it's allowing all the cold air from Canada to flow into the United States, and it could happen more often in the future. That doesn't mean the future will get even colder. On average. The future will be warmer, but there will still be an epidemic of extreme cold during the winter months,” Tracy concluded.

“That's why they say it gets cold in the winter,” laughs Pat. “What a hoax.”
