White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon, the day after President Trump gave his first speech to a joint session of Congress since taking office in January.
Tuesday's event gave Trump the opportunity to highlight his sweeping actions in the first six weeks of his second term, in order to protect his actions to critics, from overhauling the federal workforce to robust immigration policies on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) programs, gender, education and more.
Still, two issues at the top: ending wars in Ukraine and the economy, including presidential tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico and China.
The briefing is still on the line after aid to Ukraine as the mineral contract between Washington and Kiev continued to squeal between Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in the oval office last week, and Americans continue to face rising costs.
The event is expected to start at 1pm ET.
