Robert Irwin and Xochitl Gomez Celebrate Before “Dancing with the Stars” Finale

Just hours before they took the stage for the Season 34 finale of “Dancing with the Stars,” Robert Irwin and Xochitl Gomez shared a heartfelt moment. Gomez visited Irwin on set, bringing him a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Looking stunning in a long black strapless dress accented with gold buttons, Gomez was spotted chatting happily with zookeepers near her trailer.

As Irwin donned his first dance outfit of the evening—a dazzling black button-up shirt paired with sparkling pants—they appeared to enjoy a light-hearted exchange filled with laughter, which sparked speculation among fans about a possible romantic relationship.

A source mentioned that both Irwin, 21, and Gomez, 19, have been enjoying each other’s company since meeting on the dancing competition show. Yet, it remains ambiguous whether their connection is merely friendship or something deeper.

Despite the hopeful atmosphere, Gomez confirmed during a TikTok livestream just before the final episode that she is “single.” The hosts directly asked her about her relationship status, and she responded, laughing, “Yes, yes, that’s right.”

Meanwhile, sources indicated that Gomez spent time backstage with the Irwin family during the finale, and described her as “the kindest person,” adding that both are energetic and outgoing.

Gomez couldn’t help but express her joy over Irwin’s win in a video she shared on Instagram, saying, “So proud of you both! What an amazing season!”

Irwin and dance partner Witney Carson clinched the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy during the exciting finale, which had many around them cheering with happiness. A source commented on the positive vibe on set, indicating that Irwin is well-liked by the crew and cast alike.

After the finale, Irwin quickly jetted off to New York for an appearance on “Good Morning America,” with plans to head to Africa right after, before returning to his native Australia.

Interestingly, onlookers noted that after Gomez’s return to the ballroom for the show’s 20th anniversary, dating rumors between her and Irwin began to bubble up. The two had previously lit up the dance floor with their routines.

Amidst all this, Irwin, reflecting on the attention he’s been receiving, joked about the flood of messages in his DMs from fans and potential romantic interests. He acknowledged the support he’s feeling and seemed open to what might come. “But yeah, I’m keeping an eye on it,” he said, “and when it happens, it happens. Keep it up!”

As for Bindi Irwin, Robert’s sister and a former champion from the show, she’s also found herself on the receiving end of messages from fans wanting to set her up with her brother. In a light-hearted moment, Carson humorously urged fans to be patient, acknowledging their busy schedules while trying to clinch the trophy.

In this whirlwind of excitement and speculation, it’s clear that Robert Irwin’s victory—and his budding friendship with Xochitl Gomez—has captured the attention of many, leaving fans eagerly watching what’s next for the duo.
