Watch: Trump, Tulsi Gabbard hold town hall in Wisconsin

Former President Trump visited La Crosse, Wisconsin on Thursday and spoke at a town hall meeting.

Thursday's event was hosted by former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (I-Hawaii), an independent who supported the former president at a rally in Detroit earlier this week. Gabbard, who ran against President Biden and Vice President Harris in 2020 and then left the Democratic Party, recently joined Trump's transition team.

The town hall will mark Biden's first campaign visit to the Badger State since accepting the GOP nomination at last month's Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, which ended just days before Biden announced he was dropping out of the race and endorsing Harris.

Before Biden's decision to drop out, Trump was leading the president in Wisconsin by 1.5 percentage points (46.9 percent to 45.4 percent). Harris has 49.6 percent of the support in Wisconsin to her Republican rival's 46.5 percent, according to a tally of The Hill/Decision Desk polls.
