A video captured the moment a woman went missing while casually shopping at a Chinese department store last weekend when part of the floor may have been swallowed up by a sinkhole.
A construction worker on the first floor of a shopping mall in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, told local media that a sinkhole opened up and trapped him, causing the floor above to collapse.
In the video, a woman was walking on the second floor of a shopping mall in Zhenjiang when the floor caved in, knocking over two clothing racks and causing her to fall through a hole. Newsflare said the second woman wearing a yellow jacket ran through the hole, then stopped and went back to check on the other woman.
Mall representative Huang told reporters that the two people escaped with minor injuries. Paramedics and firefighters responded quickly and assisted in extricating both victims before cleaning up the damage.
