Watching the Vikings and Steelers Week 4 NFL game in Dublin, Ireland

NFL’s First Game in Dublin Features Steelers vs. Vikings

This Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings will clash in the NFL’s inaugural game in Dublin. Set to kick off at 9:30 AM on the NFL Network, Joe Davis will handle the play-by-play duties.

For the Vikings, this game marks the beginning of two consecutive international outings. They will take on the Cleveland Browns in London in week 5.

Both teams enter this matchup with 2-1 records, having mirrored each other’s journey in the early season. They each won in week 1, stumbled in week 2, and bounced back with wins in week 3.

Aaron Rodgers, now with the Steelers after years as the face of the Green Bay Packers, will face the Vikings for the 30th time in his career. Surprisingly, he’s had a significant history with this rival, having played well against them in the past.

Interestingly, in three previous games against the Steelers, Rodgers has completed over 65% of his passes, accumulating 586 yards, along with seven touchdowns and three interceptions. In fact, after leading the Steelers to a win against the New England Patriots last week, he surpassed former teammate Brett Favre for fourth in NFL history for passing touchdowns.

On the other side, Carson Wentz will be stepping in as the Vikings’ starting quarterback after JJ McCarthy suffered a high ankle sprain in the week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons. McCarthy is projected to miss 2-4 weeks, making Wentz’s performance crucial for the team’s success as he previously led them to a strong victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.

It’s definitely going to be an intriguing matchup—with each team eager to capitalize on their current momentum.
