Just a day after clinching the men’s singles title at the Cincinnati Open, Carlos Alcaraz made his debut at the 2025 US Open, participating in the newly introduced Mixed Doubles Tournament.
Alcaraz, a five-time Grand Slam winner, teamed up with his close friend Emma Raducanu, who herself was crowned champion at the Women’s Open in 2021. This mixed doubles event spans two days.
They are set to compete against American Jessica Pegula and her partner Jack Draper in their opening match.
Yesterday, Alcaraz, currently ranked No. 2 in the world, emerged victorious at the Cincinnati Open when the top-ranked Jannik Sinner retired after just five games in the first set. Both players will be back in action when the US Open Men’s Singles Tournament kicks off next week.
