Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) spoke at former President Donald Trump's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was nearly assassinated several months ago, promoting the America First movement. “I can't threaten you,” he declared.
“Now, 84 days ago, of course, at this very site, an assassin tried to fill our hearts with fear, but we are here to say that we will not be intimidated. Stop us. We will not be rejected. We will make America great again, and we will do it together,” Vance declared, to thunderous applause.
Mr Vance said many of Saturday's participants had also attended the July rally and their presence today was a “testimony” to their “courage” and “patriotism”.
“Now, you heard the gunshots, you saw the blood. Everyone feared the worst, but when President Trump raised his fist in the air and yelled, 'Fight!' everything was going to be okay.” You should have understood. fight! Fight! ' said Vance.
Vance said Saturday that he believes divine intervention saved Trump when a bullet hit his ear and came within millimeters of death.
“As I stand here today, I am now convinced that what happened was a true miracle. And that day, America felt a biblical truth. “Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, “I fear no evil, for you are with me,” he said.
Vance added, “I truly believe that God saved President Trump's life that day. I believe that God is still with us and continues to watch over this great country every day.” .
She also paid tribute to her father and husband, firefighter Corey Comperatore, who attended the July rally and was killed by President Trump's assassin.
“We'll never forget Corey. We'll never forget his heroic actions that day. And I'm sure you'll all join me right now with the Comperatore leaders here today. Please send your support, respect and love to the family. We love you all.”
