‘We Know What We Saw Something’s Wrong’ with Biden

Liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore said on CNN’s “Newsnight” on Thursday that voters sensed something was wrong with President Joe Biden during the presidential debate.

“Our next guest called Biden’s debate performance ‘the most brutal act of elder abuse we’ve ever seen,'” host Abby Phillips said. “And now we’re welcoming Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore. Do you still think so, Michael? After what we saw at tonight’s press conference, is this still elder abuse?”

Moore said, “Well, if you love Joe Biden, you shouldn’t have sent them on stage that night. I mean, what if it had been your father or your grandfather or anyone else? It was heartbreaking to see people frozen like that. It’s not a gap or a failure, it’s something that was clearly wrong. If you have your parents or your grandparents or if you’re 50 years old, you’ve seen the decline? And as George Clooney said yesterday, we can’t say to the 51 million people who saw what we saw, it didn’t happen. It happened and we can’t forget it.”

“I’m not sure there’s any dispute about him having a cold,” Phillips said. “Let’s say he had a cold and he was feeling sick on debate night. How much weight would they give to that versus Joe Biden being able to answer questions about the important issues?”

“Americans may be, but we’re not stupid. Don’t say you had a cold or you were jet lagged or anything like that. Don’t lie like that. They’re the ones who lie. That’s the Trump way. Don’t do that. We see something wrong. Tell us what’s wrong? If there’s something wrong. There’s nothing wrong with asking that question,” Moore said.
