Billionaire Elon Musk, a self-proclaimed former lifelong Democrat, declared on Monday that America needs a “red wave” in the 2024 election or faces a serious catastrophe.
“I voted 100% Democratic until a few years ago. Now I think we need a red wave or America is toast,” Musk said on his platform “X.” Ta.
Musk was responding to a survey from one account asking whether people still considered themselves liberal.
“I used to consider myself a Democrat. Now I feel very bad about the Democratic Party, but I still consider myself a liberal. Anyone else?” the account asked. Ta.
When Musk responded that there was a need for a “red wave,” the account said:
All I want is politicians who actually care about people, not support the current system that encourages politicians to stay in power forever instead of solving problems. IMO the two-party system is the central issue here, and it’s not so much whether you vote for one party as it is whether you vote for the other party. I agree that the Democratic Party has become a huge fringe, but I can’t say that the Republican Party is any better.

Elon Musk supported the Republican Party in the 2022 midterm elections, but admitted that the Democratic Party’s extremist positions are pushing him further away.

“I’m open to the idea of voting Democratic again in the future,” he said. Added.
A recent poll found that only 24% of independent voters believe President Joe Biden will win re-election. According to Breitbart News:

Less than a quarter of independents said Biden would beat Trump, and just three-quarters of Democrats said they expected Biden to win.
Former President Donald Trump has also extended his support to Biden in battleground states such as Michigan.
