A pair of cost-conscious lovers have abandoned plans for an expensive wedding. Instead, we proudly partyed at McDonald's.

Ellie, 26, and Alex, 27, are making their big day apt, right up until dozens of guests are invited, dozens of guests are invited, and they realize they cost over $10,000. It was set to commemorate it with a considerable blow.

There, the British couple warned their families, found two witnesses, headed to the Marriage Bureau near their home, where they worked for about $70.

Ellie, already a mother of two, said what the jam was that she wanted to tie the knot in the end.

“We couldn't justify spending between $25,000 and $25,000 a day,” Ellie said. “That's ridiculous. I just wanted to marry you.”

For a trip to the registrar, Ellie wore a long white gown that costs around $300. Soccer player Alex filed a lawsuit for around $200. All of this, the couple only spent $500 on their wedding. Fast food is included.

The saved money will be directed towards a “minimoon” to Paris, two honeymoons that will be a week in Dubai later this spring, Ellie said.

The couple is also keen to put their saved money into buying the house.

“We looked at the venue and cited thousands of people, so the guests would have had to book a room on top of it. There was something else we needed.” Ellie said.

“If we hadn't done it, we would never have done it, so we got married with me in the registry office. [mother] Alex's brother. After that, I was hungry so we went to McDonald's,” she laughed.

“It was a great day. It completely unpressurized. We didn't feel like we had to impress people, Ellie said.

Someone blew a $100 worth of flowers, and a friend had Ellie's hair, but the bride and groom parents were missing for about $700 due to a modest party that included a casual buffet and a DJ. I was invited.

The groom's brother took a photo – someone brought a disposable camera and handed it over to the guest.

The wedding is “an incredible thing to celebrate,” Ellie said.

“But people should do the way they want it.”
