Greg Abbott (R) “bringing the immigration issue and crisis to cities, blue states and cities, the calculus on this issue has changed.”
“Tom Suozzi was on Fox News touting his full defense of ICE,” Charian said. “So not every Democrat is pushing immigration like Tom Suozzi in this district. . That worked out well for him there. There seems to be a little bit of a split within the Democratic Party on how to tackle this immigration issue. But as you say, this is going to be a front-row issue. I I think people usually thought of it as a right-wing echo chamber issue, and I think John used to do that, too. But I think the whole movement that Greg Abbott did, and the immigration issue and the crisis in cities, What we’ve brought to blue states and cities has changed the calculus here. We’re seeing this issue become more important to all voters.”
