Camron Guthrie’s Plea for Mother’s Safe Return

Camron Guthrie, the brother of Savannah Guthrie, shared a video message on Thursday, appealing directly to the kidnappers of their mother, Nancy Guthrie. He requested proof of her well-being and urged the abductors to establish communication.

This emotional appeal comes as the search for 84-year-old Nancy enters its fifth day, with a $50,000 reward offered for credible information regarding her kidnapping.

Authorities have arrested a man suspected of sending ransom-related emails to the Guthrie family, reportedly demanding Bitcoin. He was apprehended in Los Angeles, based on a criminal complaint lodged in Arizona.

However, authorities do not consider this man to be involved in the actual kidnapping. He stated he was “just trying to see if his family would comply” with any demands.

The Guthrie family maintains its focus on finding the real kidnapper, despite these distractions. Following a group video featuring Savannah and her sister Annie, Camron made a more strategic solo appeal, shifting from emotional urgency to negotiation.

Directly addressing the camera, he mentioned the silence since the ransom deadline. “If anyone is holding our mother, we want to hear from you,” Camron stated on Instagram. “We haven’t heard anything directly. We need to reach you and we need a way to communicate with you in order for us to move forward.”

Phoenix FBI Director Heiss Janke emphasized, “time is of the essence,” while announcing the $50,000 reward for reliable information on the abduction.

Reportedly, Nancy Guthrie was last seen at her home in the Tucson area on Saturday night and was reported missing the following day.

Local authorities confirmed that Nancy does not suffer from any cognitive issues, but she faces physical challenges and requires medication that could be life-threatening if not administered within 24 hours.

In a show of support, President Trump reached out to Savannah Guthrie on Wednesday, directing federal resources to aid in the ongoing search. “We are dedicating every resource to bringing her mother home safely,” he stated, expressing hope and prayers for the family.
