Week 13 was a lot of fun. There is no bye week. Two streamers finish in the top three and the fade remains a fade. Week 14 presents another challenge. Six teams will receive byes this week. I think four of the six teams with byes have fantasy-related kickers. That means 33% of the league could be looking for an answer to the kicker conundrum this week. Get it while you can.
stream
Will Reichard (or John Parker Romo) – minnesota vikings (4% registered on the list)
Will Reichard was placed on IR after Week 9. He was perfect in his rookie season until he got injured that week. John Parker Romo replaced the injured rookie kicker and has made 11 of 12 field goals and 7 of 8 PATs over the past four weeks. What a nasty twist of fate for the Vikings to have two good kickers on the roster.
Reichardt's practice window opened on Tuesday. As of this writing, the Vikings have not yet moved on from JPR, but we expect that to happen within the next few days.
Repeat this until you're blue in the face (I think you've repeated this idiom as well), the team is more important than the legs. Whether it's Parker Romo or Reichard, Minnesota's kicker should be targeted this week against Atlanta.
The Falcons have allowed the second-most fantasy points for the kicker position this season, and the Vikings are averaging 2.3 field goal attempts per game. This game is inside, and the Vikings are the favorites to win, with the seventh-highest implied point total this week.
Chase McLaughlin – tampa bay buccaneers (32% registered)
I think I warned you last week that I would be adding Chase McLaughlin to my streaming list this week as well, and here it is. Tampa Bay's offense looked like it was early in the season in Week 13, and McLaughlin missed one field goal attempt but was productive for the team.
Week 14 gives McLaughlin one of the most appealing matchups for kickers right now. Las Vegas allows the most points to the kicker position. Only two teams have been held to fewer than 10 fantasy points through 13 weeks.
The caveat with starting McLaughlin this week is that he will almost certainly be in my fade next week. But that's next week. Win now, worry later.
Nick Folk – tennessee titans (1% registered on the list)
It feels very bold and scary, but doesn't that just make it more fun? The Titans are 3-9 on the season, but Will Levis plays gritty football that is fun to watch. He always risks everything. Over the past five weeks, the Titans have attempted more than two field goals per game.
Tennessee will face Jacksonville this week in a divisional matchup between the bottom two teams in the AFC South. Jacksonville has allowed double-digit fantasy points to opposing kickers in four of its last five games.
fade
Matthew Wright – kansas city chiefs
I'm not going to stop talking about this, no one can talk me out of it. of Los Angeles Chargers still They haven't allowed a great double-digit performance from their kicker this season. Until they do, I'm going to keep forgetting who's playing for the Chargers.
Goo Young Hoe – atlanta falcons
Younghoe Koo has been a fan favorite for the past few years, but he's been going through a downturn. I think it's called the yips in baseball. Minnesota has played solid defense against kickers, so we're not going to joke about starting a sub-75 hitter this weekend.
Dustin Hopkins – cleveland browns
It would be remiss not to mention Dustin Hopkins' impressive 69.9 percent accuracy this week. The kicker who usually makes fantasy teams so excited has been a big disappointment this season. He has only had three top-12 fantasy performances this season. This week, the Browns steelers They have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to kickers this season.
I don't want to bet my fortune on Koo or Hopkins. Both are against teams that struggle with accuracy and don't allow much scoring at the kicker position. Passed.
It's the last game of the regular (fantasy) season, six teams are by default, but we're not scared. We're armed with a handcuffed running back, a sleeper wide receiver, and a great streaming kicker.
