NFL Week 4 Update
We’re diving into Week 4 of the NFL season. Week 3 was all about Tre Tucker, who really stood out, leading wide receivers with an impressive 145 yards. Now, he didn’t rack up multiple touchdowns, which is worth noting, but still—three Tuckers? That’s something, right? Unfortunately, he was only featured in about 6% of Yahoo Leagues. If you decided to start him, maybe it’s time to buy those lottery tickets.
In other news, Lamb rolled his ankle against the Bears in Week 3, and it looks like he might be out for three to four weeks. The team is hopeful he can return sooner, but it’s a tough matchup for Dallas against the Packers this week. Even with Lamb sidelined, there’s some hope that George Pickens can maintain his status as a must-start wide receiver. Jalen Tolbert and Kavontae Turpin could also be good options, but they’re probably not the best choices this week.
Terry McLaurin, Commanders
McLaurin sustained a quad injury during the Raiders game in Week 3 and is seeking further opinions on the issue. It doesn’t sound great for his status going into Week 4. If he ends up missing time against the Falcons, Deebo Samuel, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane might see an uptick in their usage. But honestly, their fantasy potential feels a bit shaky.
Meanwhile, Evans strained his hamstring and will likely be out for three to four weeks. Rookie Emeka Egbuka should get more targets during this stretch, but Sterling Shepherd is moving up in the lineup, especially with the Eagles coming to town. It’s also possible that Chris Godwin, who is recovering from a nasty ankle injury from last season, could make an appearance by Week 7. But right now, Egbuka looks like the only solid fantasy option.
Addison’s suspension has officially come to an end, and he’s set to play in Week 4 against the Steelers. This could be a good opportunity for him to become a reliable fantasy receiver, especially against a struggling Steelers defense.
The team’s outlook is a bit cautious; they aren’t sure if their players are fully ready for contact just yet. We’ll see if their chances improve as the Chiefs face off against the 1-2 Ravens this week.
Jennings missed Week 3 due to shoulder and ankle injuries and didn’t practice at all during the week. However, he was spotted doing some work on the side. As the 49ers prepare to face the Jaguars, we’ll see if he can rejoin official practice soon.
Godwin might be back for Week 4, but trusting him in fantasy feels risky given his lengthy recovery from an ankle injury suffered last season.
