Wells Fargo Employee Found Dead At Her Desk 4 Days After Clocking In

A Wells Fargo employee was found dead in his booth four days after last showing up to work.

According to reports, Dennis Prudhomme, 60, reported to work for the first time at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona on August 16.Number 7AM

The building's security guard contacted authorities on Aug. 20.Number Regarding “Subject Down,” an employee who spoke anonymously said, 12Newsclaimed that Prudhomme was found dead in his private room by a colleague searching the building.

At 4:55 p.m., authorities announced Prudhomme had died at the scene, local media reported, citing Tempe police. 12NewsPrudhomme's private room was on the third floor, off the main hallway.

The unidentified employee also said several people had complained about a foul odor, but they thought it was caused by a plumbing problem.

Another employee told the outlet, “It was really heartbreaking, thinking, 'What if I just sat there? What if no one came to check on me? I would feel bad if people heard she was sitting at her desk like that… and no one did anything. That's how she spent her final moments.'”

A Wells Fargo spokesperson said: 12News In response to the incident.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a colleague in our Tempe office, and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Counselors are available to support the employee through our Employee Assistance Consulting Services. We are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in their investigation and will refer any further questions to them.”

A preliminary investigation has revealed no signs of foul play, police said, and the Tempe Police Department's Criminal Investigations Bureau is working with the Maricopa County Coroner to determine the cause of death.
