Inquest Reveals Disturbing Circumstances Surrounding Drag Performer’s Death
A coroner’s inquest in Wales has uncovered unsettling details regarding the death of Darren Me Moore, a convicted pedophile and drag performer, in 2023. Just hours before his body was discovered in an alley, he reportedly engaged in public sex acts, including inappropriate actions involving an animal.
Mee Moore, who was 39, had a criminal record dating back to 1999, when he was found guilty of four counts of raping a boy under 16. On the night he died, he was last spotted around 5 AM, dressed in a green dress, a blonde wig, sparkly heels, a full makeup look, and a coordinating clutch bag, according to news sources.
Footage from surveillance cameras showed him spending time with two men that night. He vanished after heading into an alley with a third individual, identified as Eilish Miller.
South Wales Police Superintendent Paul Lakes reported that Mee Moore’s body was found in the alley, covered with cardboard and showing signs of blood. A few weeks prior, there had been a procession in the city for his funeral.
According to testimony, Mee Moore was found with more than £200 and personal items, leading authorities to rule out robbery as a motive for his death. There were no signs of physical assault.
Further surveillance footage captured a third man, who had a dog, following Mee Moore into the alley and out of the camera’s view for about 30 minutes. This man exited without the dog but returned shortly after with a cardboard box.
Coroner David Regan noted that the dog had entered into contact with Mee Moore. The man claimed they were engaged in sexual activity together and implied that the dog joined voluntarily, covering Moore with cardboard to keep him warm while he slept.
However, Regan stated that it would have been nearly “impossible” for the dog to act in such a manner without encouragement. The coroner was unable to ascertain whether Moore had consented to the dog’s involvement, but concluded the cause of death was “sudden death” related to asthma complications and alcohol consumption, associated with sexual activity, including the act involving the dog.
