Wendy Williams taken by ambulance after dropping desperate note from NYC window begging for help

Wendy Williams was taken away from the New York Assistance Facility by ambulance Monday after officers were called for a wellness check when former talk show queen threw a handwritten note out of the window for help.

“Help! Wendy!,” the memo said.

Police sources arrived around 11:15am shortly after the 60-year-old woman was diagnosed with dementia after throwing a note through the window of her five-story room.

The former TV star, who opened a hole in the memory borough of her living facility as she fought to end her court-ordered guardianship, was later found in a window with her arm waving in a post reporter while talking on the phone.

Soon afterwards, Williams quietly left the facility and was escorted by a handful of police officers – aided by an ambulance waiting for him.

The ordeal comes after it was revealed that the daytime star was due to return to television for the first time amid her ongoing health issues.

Williams was planning to appear on ABC's “Scenery” on Friday. This is her first daytime appearance since she took a leave of absence from The Wendy Williams Show four years ago.

Suzanne Bass, former co-executive producer of Williams' show, shared news of her upcoming appearances in a Sunday Instagram post.

“To air this Friday, I'm preparing a very special friend for her appearance. #freewendy,” bass captioned a video of myself talking to Williams over the phone.

It was not immediately clear whether the exterior would be filmed directly or simply on a phone.
Diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, Williams has been caught up in a famous battle since 2022 to end the guardianship she was in.

Her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, previously said Williams has been “cognitively disabled, permanently disabled and incapacitated” from her dementia battle.

Williams claims she is mentally healthy. In a recent TMZ phone interview, she is being held in a “prison” and claims she is “not allowed” to go outside on her own free will.

Still, it appeared she had won a small victory in a long-term guardianship battle last month after informing the judge that Morrissey would be open to Williams to receive a new medical evaluation in light of the claims of a star that doesn't have dementia.
