Wendy’s has gotten their hands on the Krabby Patty secret formula, announcing a special menu Wednesday in honor of the 25th anniversary of “SpongeBob Squarepants.”
The specialty items from the “Krabby Patty Kollab” will hit stores nationwide Oct. 8, according to a Wendy’s press release published Wednesday. The menu includes a “Krabby Patty Kollab Burger” and “Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.”
“SpongeBob SquarePants began his journey as a fry cook, flipping Krabby Patties in the pilot episode of the series 25 years ago, and the coveted patty has since remained an enduring fixture in Bikini Bottom,” Sherry Liu, senior vice president of Studio Franchise Strategy & Operations for Nickelodeon and Paramount, said in a press release. “Though its formula remains a secret, SpongeBob SquarePants fans will now be able to enjoy imaginative interpretations of the legendary Krabby Patty through this unique collaboration.”

Wendy’s version of the Krabby Patty will include a quarter-pound burger topped with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and a “top-secret” sauce special to the collaboration.
“In a world of people cutting corners, Wendy’s is known for quality in everything we do – from our fresh, famous food to collaborations with brands that our fans love,” Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Company, said in the press release. “So, it makes sense that two of the most iconic squares in pop culture are teaming up to bring a taste of this unique, limited-time experience to life for fans of all ages!”
SpongeBob and Wendy’s fans in Los Angeles have the chance to get an exclusive first look at the crossover meal Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 with an “immersive” drive-thru experience in Panorama City, the press release notes.

The press release did not say how Wendy’s plans to keep the secret formula out of Plankton’s hands.
