We’re Going To Fort Knox To See If The Gold Is Still There

The Trump administration will be heading to Fort Knox to see if the money is still there, President Donald Trump told reporters Monday.

“We actually go to Fort Knox and see if the money is there, because someone stole the money,” Trump said. “Lots of money.”

Trump's comments follow speculations about the gold status stored in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Government Efficiency (DOGE) Head Elon Musk continues to bring light to this issue. In particular, the speculations were published after Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) publicly stated that he had been denied entry to Fort Knox without explaining.

“As a US Senator, I have tried repeatedly to get into Fort Knox,” he said in posting the exchange:

Fort Knox: “You can't come to Fort Knox.”

Me: “Why?”

Fort Knox: “It's a military facility.”

Me: “I'm a senator. I always go to military bases.”

Fort Knox: “You can't come yet, because you can't.”

“Who is confirming that the money was not stolen from Fort Knox?” Musk asked after Lee's revelation. “Maybe it's there, maybe not.”

“The money is owned by the American people! I want to know if it's still there,” he continued.

“Is that certainly reviewed at least annually?” Musk asked, prompting a response from Senator Rand Paul (R-KY).

“No. Let's do that,” Paul said.

Sen. Mark Wayne Marin (R-OK) is one of those who support Trump's call to test Fort Knox's gold reserves.

“Well, why don't you do that when you haven't checked for too long?” Marine said during his appearance. Jesse Watters Primetime.

“And by doing it and testing it and saying, 'Hey, yes, it's there,' or revealing that it's not, Americans want to know.
