A lawyer from Los Angeles, who also became an OnlyFans personality, was arrested during a drug operation in Miami just before he intended to board a gay cruise.
Joshua Eddy, 41, residing in West Hollywood, was one of nine individuals taken into custody on a Sunday for allegedly trying to board a Royal Caribbean Cruise with illegal substances, as stated by a spokesperson from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to his law credentials, Eddy’s online presence indicates he has experience as a technology executive.
Eddy is particularly recognized for his social media presence, where he refers to himself as “the spunky ginger brother next door” on his OnlyFans account.
His arrest occurred at Port Miami while he and eight others were preparing to board the Symphony of the Seas cruise for an event termed “the world’s largest gay festival at sea.”
As he was about to celebrate on the cruise, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents found illegal drugs in his bags during a search prompted by a trained sniffer dog, according to police reports.
Authorities discovered several bags filled with pills and liquids—which later tested as various controlled substances. This included around 19.3 grams of MDMA, 3.4 grams of ketamine, 7.55 grams of methamphetamine, and approximately 80 grams of GBL, per police documentation.
CBP called in the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, leading to Eddy’s arrest and the confiscation of the drugs.
Court filings reveal that he faces four felony charges, including the trafficking of MDMA and possession of methamphetamine, GBL, and ketamine. After appearing in court Monday, he was released on a $1,000 bail and is next scheduled for a court appearance in April. Attempts to reach Eddy for a comment have been unsuccessful.
According to records from the California bar, Eddy has been practicing law since 2013 and currently holds an active license.
Another online profile suggests he has been working with Meta since 2018, although representatives from the company did not confirm this on request.
On his OnlyFans, he has posted 575 times, with a monthly subscription fee set at $14.99.
His social media also features videos of him exercising and cooking. On TikTok, where he goes by @eddieburkex, he notably declares himself as “100% Ginger.”
