West Wilson’s Love Confession on Summer House
West Wilson first expressed his feelings for Amanda Batula during Season 10 of Summer House, recorded last summer.
This moment unfolded in “Summer House: The Aftermath,” during an intense conversation with Batula’s estranged husband, Kyle Cook.
Cook, who had previously shared his concerns about his ex, asked Wilson, “Do you think you’re ready for a serious relationship?”
“Yes, yes,” Wilson responded eagerly.
When Cook probed further, Wilson not only confirmed his love for Batula but also recounted the night he first told her.
“That’s right. I said ‘I love you’ when I left her in charge of your room,” he recalled.
This was amidst a heated episode where Cook had consoled Batula after an altercation during their marriage.
In a flashback from August 2025, Wilson is shown entering Cook and Batula’s room at night, where Batula sat alone. He tells her, “I love you, okay? Text me if you need anything.”
Wilson mentioned that after a significant fight between Batula and Cook that summer, he comforted her with those words.
Even though this revelation raised questions about the timeline of their relationship for Cook, Wilson insisted that his romance with Batula didn’t start until February.
“I know people will think otherwise from watching the show, but we weren’t dating then,” he clarified.
“I can’t definitively say I’m in love, but I care about her deeply, and expressing that directly is challenging,” Wilson admitted.
In March, Batula and Wilson publicly acknowledged their relationship, which began shortly after her separation from Cook.
Cook had previously suggested that Batula had an “emotional relationship” with Wilson during their marriage.
Wilson expressed hopes that his conversation with Cook would ease his concerns for Batula.
“Thanks for talking with me,” Wilson concluded the discussion.
In a lengthy talk shortly after the Season 10 reunion, Wilson acknowledged making strides in mending his friendship with Cook.
He mentioned on a podcast that while things were not perfect, the conversation was constructive even if initially awkward.
Wilson, 31, and Batula, 34, affirmed their relationship in March, denying any overlap with their prior commitments despite Cook’s claims.
However, both Wilson and Batula faced accusations of betraying trust, particularly concerning Batula’s best friend and fellow cast member Ciara Miller, who had dated Wilson before.
While Cook seems to be moving toward forgiveness, Miller has expressed a desire to sever ties with both Wilson and Batula.
As for Season 11, it remains unconfirmed whether Wilson will return, as producers reportedly did not bring him on board, with filming set to begin over the Fourth of July weekend.
