Let me tell you about a little bird I spoke to recently because what he told me was like a canary in the coal mine when it comes to the November presidential election.
He’s a hardcore right-winger and has absolutely no “Donald Trump walking tiptoe through the raindrops” cult. He supported Ron DeSantis in the primaries. So this guy’s not going to Mike Lindell’s symposiums. Got it? And he’s currently keeping an eye on the political landscape in some key battleground states.
We need to do something different, we need to do it fast, and it needs to work.
I want to focus on something he said specifically about Wisconsin after I started discussing with him a poll that was put out by John McLaughlin, Donald Trump’s personal pollster, that showed Trump losing four independents in a head-to-head matchup with Joe Biden, and that Finished in third place Among independents, considering Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
First, let me say that in none of the nine worlds of the Marvel Cinematic Universe does the multiverse reality exist in which Trump loses independents by four points and wins the presidential election. Republicans haven’t won independents since the 2016 election. When was the last time a Republican won an election? 2016. It’s probably just a coincidence, says Nefarious.
But is it possible that Joe Biden being an 80-year-old muttering corpse could drive down turnout among his own base and open the door for a Trump victory if he just loses independents by a point or two? I think it’s possible. Independents are currently the largest voting bloc in the country, so we’re talking tens of millions of people. And in the past two presidential elections, one candidate won key states by fewer than 40,000 votes in one election and fewer than 80,000 votes in the other.
That’s why my little bird is out there trying to figure out what to do about this election. But he’s not busy looking for voter fraud everywhere. That’s not who he is. I mention this because it relates to the state of Wisconsin voting and how the rest of our future hangs in the balance.
Based on expert polling and door-to-door canvassing in the battleground states where Trump must win at least two, along with Michigan and Pennsylvania, my little bird believes turnout among voters under 40 could be the lowest in history.
Now, I’ve been taking election fraud pretty seriously since 2020. I’ve pointed out that leveraging this new information to introduce this unprecedented level of uncertainty into the election equation gives Democrats more room to cheat… which means more leeway for voter turnout manipulation, right?
Bingo, he said.
According to my little bird, concerns about fraud in Wisconsin are very real because it is a state with one of the worst voter files in the country. The surest way to know who will vote in the next election is to know who voted in the last election. If you just poll people on issues and candidates and these people don’t show up to vote, the poll is worthless. A healthy voter file is essential because it’s how you find the people who would normally vote and think about how to get your message across to them to get them to vote.
Wisconsin is a historically neutral state that currently has a Republican legislature and a Democratic governor. You’d think it would be a state where voter information is tightly controlled. Wisconsin is a pivotal battleground state in a highly competitive electoral environment, with accusations of voter fraud year after year from both parties.
No. Not at all.
My little bird told me that in his focus group, there was a woman who complained that she received a mail-in ballot for someone she didn’t live with. When she complained to the city, it turned out that there were five other voters registered at her address. My little bird verified it. Everything she said was true.
Now, think about how much money and fame has been chased over the last few years by people whining about voter fraud while doing nothing. How many shows, how many documentaries have been produced about this issue?
Or consider how Facebook demonetized The Blaze’s entire channel when he pointed out a dodgy Banana Republic donation box in Wisconsin on Glenn Beck’s show the morning after the 2020 election. With the loss of accountability, is that where we’re heading again? Or, at the very least, is this the kind of self-censorship that other prominent right-wing networks have adopted as a means of avoiding being financially crushed by the online algorithms that control us all?
I share this with you right after Memorial Day weekend, less than 24 weeks away from what may or may not be the most important election of our lifetimes. And I can’t tell you how badly I wanted to do the same election show I did after the 2020 and 2022 elections. Those two nights were the worst nights of my professional career, knowing how much pain it caused our country in the first election, and how little we all seemed to care about it after the second election, when the red wave didn’t happen.
When our entire birthright is at stake, are we just going to shrug and reinforce it even more?
I can’t. I won’t. I need to do something different. It needs to work fast, and it needs to work well, because as Captain America said in Avengers: Endgame, if it doesn’t work, I don’t know what I’d do.
