So Donald Trump hasn't even taken office yet, but he's already starting to have an impact. It's not just about China, Russia, and Dr. Gill's plan to install bedside commodes in the White House. No, Trump is also destroying cable news. Since his win, MSNBC's ratings have plummeted. It's so bad that Joy Reid's wigs are looking for work on “Jesse Watters Prime Time.”
CNN's numbers are way down, losing out every night to Brit Hume's doorbell camera. Apparently hundreds of layoffs are planned. I know it's mean, but it would be hilarious if CNN fired Brian Stelter again – and the poor guy just put up a shelf to put the pies on. Chris Wallace leaving CNN to start a podcast is a very bad thing for mainstream media. He is 77 years old. Think about it. He's retiring from Legacy Media at age 77 because he's confident he'll outlive himself. But sadly, even FOX News is feeling the pinch, and it's not our ratings. I got millions of new eyeballs, and that doesn't include the ones I keep in a bag under my bed.
Donald Trump is stealing all our talent. He just announced that the great Tulsi Gabbard is his nominee for Director of National Intelligence. Lee Zeldin may be the new head of the EPA, Mike Huckabee may be the new ambassador to Israel—and does the Middle East need some relaxation? Of course, we want Hegseth to be the new Secretary of Defense. But as expected, the left is disintegrating as President Trump fills his cabinet with traitors and thugs. They can't believe that President Trump is fielding real people, the kind who are loyal to the United States, rather than the usual suspects they see on jets bound for Epstein Island. And indeed, they are caused by Hegses. Here's why:
Pete Hegseth's video will be played on “Gutfeld”!
that's it. Again, I'm gay. But this is the predictable disgustingness that befits Hegseth's nomination.
FOX News host Pete Hegseth appointed as President Trump's secretary of defense
CNN's Erin Burnett: Pete Hegseth is Secretary of Defense. What do you think?
Congressman Dan Goldman: I'm really shocked. And this is exactly what we feared and warned about Donald Trump. That means he is appointing unqualified supporters to make this government his personal fiefdom.
CNN's Abby Phillips: pick It was a surprise on Capitol Hill. So one senator literally said, “Wow.”
MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell: In a pre-Trump world, it would have been impossible for Pete Hegseth to get through the Senate confirmation process for any government job. They will have no problem voting for the ridiculously incompetent person Trump appointed.
You know what's really bothering these idiots? First, Pete Hegseth is clearly a man. Isn't it so obvious? Biden's choice. So we're talking about government transparency. When you look at our men, they don't hide behind skirts or steal. Pete was far ahead of everyone else in the decline of our strength.
He was the first and most persuasive voice intent on preserving the lethality of our military, which was under attack from within thanks to the scourge of identity politics. Identity politics has done three things for the military. It undermines meritocracy, a necessary element of commanding a deadly force, fragments fighting forces into competing self-interests, targets forces that resist, and brands them as extremists who must be investigated. Ta.
Military personnel sound alarm for 'extremely alert' troops
No wonder the media uses the fallacy of appeals to authority to smear Hegseth. “Who is this person?” they murmur. Well, he's a two-time Bronze Star recipient. I have three. And he has been in the service for decades. And he's the guy who's going to kick your A-ES to the curb. But he's not the only one forcing useless careerists to update their resumes. President Trump just announced that Elon and Vivek will head a new commission known as the Department of Government Efficiency.
So that vast sucking sound you hear is the sound of the swamp finally being drained. Either that or I ate Indian food. I apologize. So how bad could it be? Now, when Musk took over Twitter, he reportedly laid off 80% of his employees within the first month. That's why I saw Mayor Pete pumping gas at the Sunoco station this morning on my way to work. Now, if you think firing 80% of federal employees is going too far, you might be right. It takes 15 workers every day just to zip Jerry Nadler's pants.
But America's debt is $35 trillion. That's 35 and 12 zeros. That's as many zeros as Kat's dating history. Here is the shot that will save history's greatest experiment in government and human freedom.

And it feels like we're about to see more changes in a single administration than we saw on Pelosi's face. And this time, it's going to be something that people actually want and need and actually voted for. No wonder it's run by people at cable news networks that are actually loved by people.
Greg Gutfeld is currently Gutfeld! (weekdays 11:00 PM – 12:00 AM/ET) and co-host of cable news's highest-rated show. The Five (Weekdays, 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM/Eastern Time).
