On Monday’s MSNBC broadcast of “The Katie Toole Report,” Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh responded to a question about whether U.S. strikes against Iranian-backed groups in the Middle East were successful, saying, “We have capabilities on the table. I was able to remove it,” he said. Some of these groups are supported by the IRGC. The abilities they had yesterday they no longer have today. Therefore, yes, we assess that we have succeeded in disrupting and reducing their capabilities. ” But those groups could still attack.
host Katie Toole asked. Does the Department of Defense assess these attacks as being effective?”
Mr. Shin replied: “Look, what we know is that we were able to take capabilities off the table for these IRGC-backed groups. The capabilities they had yesterday, they no longer have today. No. So, yes, we credit ourselves with successfully disrupting and diminishing their capabilities. I am in no way saying that we wiped everything off the map for them. But we made it more difficult for them to launch attacks on U.S. forces, whether it was in the Red Sea or in Iraq or Syria.”
