White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre doubled down after President Joe Biden declared Easter Sunday “Transgender Visibility Day.”
X Jean-Pierre’s statement on Saturday followed an overwhelming backlash to Biden’s vigorous affirmation of the controversial holiday as the same day as Christianity’s holiest holiday.
“On Transgender Visibility Day, the Biden-Harris Administration honors the extraordinary courage and contributions of transgender Americans and reaffirms our nation’s commitment to forming a more perfect union where all people are treated equally.” posted Jean-Pierre.

Biden’s declaration – issued On Good Friday, another holy day for Christians, he announced that “transgender Americans are part of the fabric of our country” and called for the passage of the Equality Act. The legislation would codify Democrats’ embrace of gender identity, the fabricated concept that people can identify and become a different gender than they were born with. Democrats have been trying to pass this bill for years, but it has yet to pass the president’s floor.
After Biden’s proclamation went viral, Christians across the country spoke out. Republicans in Congress also overwhelmingly opposed it.
“The Biden White House has betrayed the central tenet of Easter: the Resurrection of Jesus Christ,” House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) wrote on X. “Transgender Day” is outrageous and abhorrent, as it “forbids sacred truths and traditions while simultaneously proclaiming Easter Sunday as:” The American people are paying attention. ”

Biden has posted Easter messages on Easter Day in past years, but his remarks seemed much shorter and more formulaic than his lengthy call for Transgender Visibility Day.
