Whales are swimming around the Super Bowl as Caesars Sportsbook reports a $1 million bet on the 49ers’ money line (-120).
If Brock Purdy and the 49ers beat Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, a $1 million wager would win $833,333.33.
This happened as bettors bought the push as the line movement for the 2024 Super Bowl showed massive public support for the Chiefs.
San Francisco opened as a 2.5-point favorite to win the 2024 Super Bowl, but those odds dropped to -1 in the early betting hours.
The huge bet taken by Caesars seemed to resonate across sportsbooks on Tuesday, with the line jumping to -2 afterward.
Adam Pullen, assistant director of trading at Caesars Sportsbook, told the Post on Sunday that he expects to handle a record $190 million break for this week’s Super Bowl.
This bet will go a long way in making that a reality.

BetMGM Sportsbook reported to the Post that 16% of its bets were on the 49ers money line and 21% of its handle was on San Francisco. This could be a sign that while Joe’s is flooding into Kansas City’s early market, San Francisco is getting pros.
There are some props that have been heavily bet as well. That means Travis Kelce will score a touchdown at -110. This is most bet as the player to reach the end zone.
Purdy’s rushing ability during the playoffs is a key focus for bettors as he is most bet on heading into the 2024 Super Bowl.
99% of bets are on Purdy going over 11.5 yards (-110).
But as bets continue over the next 12 days, a 49ers buyback is becoming a reality.
