‘What Happened to the Fascist Talk?’

breakfast Club co-host Charlamagne Tha God said while hosting President-elect Donald Trump at the White House this week, even as Democrats repeatedly denigrate him as a “fascist” and a “threat to democracy.” They say it's hard to understand why President Joe Biden can keep a big smile on his face. During the campaign.

Charlamagne the God expressed his bewilderment on Thursday's episode of his radio show.

“I just don't understand the White House visit,” he said. “Obviously, we're happy to see a peaceful transition of power, but what happened to the 'threat to democracy' story? What happened to the “fascist” story? ”

On Wednesday, President-elect Trump returned to the White House and met with Biden, who was all smiles as he posed for photos during the nearly two-hour meeting.

Biden stressed that both countries are committed to a “smooth transition of power,” and that his administration will “do everything in our power to make sure you are able to respond.”

“Politics is tough and in many cases it's not a very nice world, but today it's a good world and I'm very grateful,” Trump said. A very smooth transition couldn't have been smoother, and I'm very grateful for that, Joe. ”

On Thursday's radio show, Charlamagne of God said he found the entire meeting difficult to handle given the inflammatory rhetoric from Democrats just days before it was held.

“We're trying to figure out how to go from saying, 'He's an existential threat to democracy,' to saying, 'Welcome back!'” he said.

Charlamagne touched on the subject last week in the aftermath of Trump's landslide election victory.

“But don't you all think it's strange that now that he's won, people aren't saying he's a threat to democracy?” he asked on the Nov. 8 show.

“They didn't call him a fascist…If you really believed that, someone's speech would talk about how America is doing well and how things are about to get really bad.” I think it makes you wonder how much of it they really believed, or how much of it was just political.

During her ultimately unsuccessful bid for the White House, Kamala Harris called Trump a “fascist” and a dictator.

Mr. Biden described Mr. Trump's supporters as “trash” and a “clear and present danger” to the rest of the country.
