What happens to the Super Bowl losers' merch? It's being sent to these 5 countries

(Nexstar) – The moment the Eagles officially signed their Super Bowl victory, T-shirts, hats and other items declared the champions to be on the market.

If the chief came up on top, the exact same thing would have happened.

The NFL is planning both outcomes, so they are ready no matter who wins. What inevitably means is many pre-printed and pre-made items, but fans cannot buy it. What happens to all of those stolen items?

For 11 years, the NFL has been working with non-profit Good360 to reuse the unsold apparel of losing teams from the Super Bowl. Good360 will relocate all gear to a foreign nonprofit organization that can collect and put donations to use it.

This year, the lost team's products are heading towards nonprofits in Ukraine, Mongolia, Georgia, Estonia and Latvia.

They do the same in the NFC and AFC championship games. That means the Buffalo Bills and Washington commanders are on their way out.

Recipients change year by year based on needs and other factors. To protect the NFL brand, Good360 says it has won donations award winners to ensure that sweatshirts and caps are resurfaced and not resold.

“The NFL has strict controls to ensure that the public never sees it.” The organization said A product from a team that lost last year.
