What if Trump said the unsayable? ‘I’m sorry. I’ll stop it’

Donald Trump's campaign so far and his performance in the recent debate with Kamala Harris have not given him any leads in battleground states.
Known Election VulnerabilitiesBut Trump still has time to pull off a major comeback. How?

In the end, most people, whether they want to or not, end up dealing with the people they hurt as equals. But politicians have not dealt with the people they hurt as equals.

Why not? There's a reason politicians don't want that. People would be angry. Voters would stop supporting them. People would kick them out. They'd get jailed.

But these reasons are not true. If someone hurts us and we know it and he is honest with us, we usually show the pain we have been carrying all along. But we quickly feel relieved and
Less agitation.

Many of us
Christianwe all live Culture shaped by Christianityand the desire we are all born with. Social interactionSo when someone genuinely wants to connect with us on a human level, we usually feel at least I support his actions And don't banish him.

People support justice, so many will support prosecution and punishment. However,
Hurt others Confess, express remorse, plead for mercy, Offer compensationIf that is the case, many potential jurors and judges will respond with a great deal of mercy and will view the defendant's efforts at reparation favorably.

Now is the time when it is in politicians' best interest to connect with voters: It's election season.

The politicians know they don't have to go toe-to-toe with us. They know it will be hard to get rid of them.

And yet it is unthinkably distressing that most politicians don't speak honestly to people in their private lives. Human beings have a deep need for connection with spouses, children, parents, friends, colleagues, and even simple acquaintances.

If you don't just say, “I'm sorry, I'm going to stop,” and mean it, and follow through, your relationship won't deepen.

Apologies and reparations are essential human skills. Politicians as a group cannot lack such skills. In fact, the use of body language and verbal cues is a common tool in politicians' arsenals.
Connect with others.

Now is the time when it is in politicians' best interest to connect with voters: It's election season.

This election season will be Donald Trump's last. It's his last chance to make real amends. Trump has lived through events that could change him into a different person.

Trump has famously apologized for one memorable comment: In 2005, during a private conversation, he “badmouthed” a woman for allowing him inappropriate sexual contact, a comment recorded on a hot microphone.
The Washington Post On October 7, 2016, he released the now infamous “Access Hollywood” tapes.

With his first presidential bid hanging in the balance, Trump has repeatedly apologized publicly, first in a written statement on his campaign website, then in a video statement the next day, then two days later.
During a debate with Hillary Clinton.

Now, as we approach the end of another fierce presidential election campaign, Mr. Trump may once again be honest with us. He may say:

Just a few weeks ago, I

This isn't just an opportunity for Trump.

Regardless of what Trump does about his actions, we the people need as many politicians as possible to examine their own actions.

The earliest and most exemplary apologies and redress need to come from the politicians best prepared to lead by example.

It may not be easy to find things I could have done better. I tried to think of what I could have done better, but I couldn't think of anything. Luckily, I have my wife.
